Rhum Clément Cuvée Homère Rhum Agricole Vieux
Rhum Clément · Habitation Clément
Cuvée Homère is Clément's tribute to founder Homère Clément, and it showcases what extended aging does to quality rhum agricole. The cane character remains at the foundation, but the oak and oxidative aging add layers that rival fine cognac in complexity. This is a sipping rum that demands — and rewards — your full attention.
Nose
Sugarcane and tropical fruit open the nose — ripe banana and mango — followed by toasted oak, dark chocolate, and dried fruit. A faint coffee note lingers underneath, with vanilla and warm spice.
Palate
Full-bodied and richly textured. The agricole grassiness is still present but subdued by years in oak, yielding to toffee, roasted coffee, and dried tropical fruits. Leather and tobacco emerge as it develops, with a spice note that builds gradually.
Finish
Long and complex, with tobacco leaf, dark chocolate, and a final echo of fresh sugarcane.
- Base Ingredient
- Fresh sugarcane juice (rhum agricole)
- Distillation
- Single column distillation from fresh pressed sugarcane juice
- Country
- Le François, Martinique
Food Pairing
Dark chocolate truffles with espresso and sea salt
Named for Dr. Homère Clément, who purchased the Habitation in 1887, this cuvée is blended from aged reserves at the estate in Le François, where sugarcane is still cut by hand from the surrounding fields.

Kentucky Peerless Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey
Peerless
Kentucky Peerless represents what happens when a young distillery takes no shortcuts — sweet mash, no chill filtration, barrel proof. The result is a bourbon that's simultaneously bold and disciplined, with enough negative space between its flavors for each to land clearly.

Domaine de la Tournelle Arbois Poulsard de l'Uva Arbosiana 2021
Domaine de la Tournelle
A masterclass in restraint. Poulsard at its most transparent — a red wine that whispers rather than declares, defined as much by what's absent as by what remains.

Havana Club Selección de Maestros
Havana Club
A masterclass in editorial restraint. Where many premium rums crowd the glass with sweetness, Selección de Maestros trusts the silences — the negative space between notes is where its sophistication lives. Essential for drinkers who mistake Cuban rum for merely 'light.'

Capreolus Raspberry Eau de Vie Gin
Capreolus
Barrie Lancaster's eau de vie background shows in every sip — this is a gin that understands distillation as an act of capture, not construction. The space between the floral top notes and the woody juniper base is wide and elegant, each element articulated with rare clarity.

Ron del Barrilito Four Star Rum
Ron del Barrilito
Ron del Barrilito predates most of the Caribbean rum brands that line your local shelves, yet it remains almost unknown outside Puerto Rico. The Four Star expression, aged in ex-sherry casks for up to a decade, is a rum of genuine sophistication — nuanced, dry-leaning, and built for contemplation rather than cocktails. A reminder that some of rum's finest stories are told in whispers.

El Dorado Single Still Enmore 1996
El Dorado
A monumental single-still Demerara that showcases the Enmore wooden Coffey still at its most articulate — dense, aromatic, and quietly ferocious. Essential for serious rum collectors seeking the true character of Guyana's heritage stills.

Rhum Clément Select Barrel Rhum Agricole
Clément
Clément Select Barrel is an excellent entry point into aged agricole rhum. The barrel aging tames the raw grassy intensity without erasing it, creating a spirit that bridges the gap between agricole purists and aged rum lovers. At its price, it's one of the best values in the category.
