G4 Reposado de Madera Tequila

G4 · El Pandillo Distillery (NOM 1579)

Felipe Camarena's obsessive attention to traditional tahona and roller mill production shines through in this reposado. The brief oak aging adds dimension without stealing the agave spotlight. This is tequila that trusts its raw material and lets the terroir speak.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Bright cooked agave leads with lime zest and green herb notes. Behind that, subtle oak and a touch of vanilla from the brief barrel rest.

Palate

Clean and mineral-driven with cooked agave sweetness balanced by white pepper. Mid-palate brings caramel and a fleeting note of cinnamon. The oak is restrained, enhancing rather than masking the agave.

Finish

Medium with lingering agave and a clean, slightly peppery exit. Mineral notes persist.

Food Pairing

The rendered pork richness complements the caramel and oak notes, while tomatillo salsa's bright acidity mirrors the tequila's citrus and mineral character.

The Story
