Fuenteseca Cosecha 2019 Blanco

Fuenteseca · Tequilera Rustica de Arandas (NOM 1146)

86.4 proofNASLos Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Fuenteseca's vintage-dated blancos capture a specific agave harvest the way a single-vineyard wine captures a year. The 2019 cosecha shows the high-altitude Los Altos character at its best — bright, mineral-driven, with a clarity that reveals the water source and volcanic soil as much as the agave itself. A thinking person's blanco.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Bright cooked agave and citrus — primarily lime and grapefruit — with a minerally undertone. Beneath, there's an herbal freshness and faint white pepper warmth.

Palate

Silky entry of roasted agave and earth, with tropical fruit notes — pineapple and green pear — developing across the mid-palate. Mineral and soil characteristics give the tequila an almost terroir-driven quality.

Finish

Clean and persistent, with lingering agave sweetness, a flicker of pepper, and wet stone minerality.

The Story

Enrique Fonseca, one of Mexico's most respected agave growers and distillers, crafts Fuenteseca from estate-grown Blue Weber agave, slow-roasting in stone ovens and distilling with water drawn from a natural highland spring.
