Don Fulano Blanco Fuerte

Don Fulano · Tequilera Corralejo / NOM 1146

100 proofUnagedJalisco, Mexico
Don Fulano's Fuerte expression takes their already excellent blanco and dials the volume up just enough to reveal hidden layers. The higher proof doesn't add heat so much as resolution — you see more detail, more texture, more of the agave's story. A serious sipper that also makes a formidable cocktail base.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Intensely mineral with wet clay and crushed rock layered under bright cooked agave. Citrus zest — lime and grapefruit — rises alongside a subtle herbal note of fresh thyme. There is an almost yeasty breadiness in the background.

Palate

Full-bodied and assertive at 50% ABV, with roasted agave front and center. The higher proof amplifies mineral and earthy tones, while white pepper builds steadily through the mid-palate. Green herb and a flash of citrus keep things lively.

Finish

Long and warming, with lingering agave sweetness, cracked pepper, and a final mineral echo.

Cocktail Suggestion

Desert Paloma — 2 oz Don Fulano Blanco Fuerte · 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice · 0.5 oz fresh lime juice · 0.5 oz agave nectar · 2 oz sparkling mineral water · Build over ice in a salt-rimmed highball, stir gently, garnish with a grapefruit wheel.

Food Pairing

Charred corn kernels tossed with lime crema, cotija cheese, chili powder, and fresh cilantro — the corn's sweetness and char complement the agave while the lime and chili mirror the tequila's citrus and pepper.

The Story

Produced at the family-owned Tequilera Corralejo in the highlands of Jalisco under the direction of Enrique Fonseca, one of tequila's most respected agave growers and distillers, who releases this overproof blanco to showcase the raw intensity of his estate-grown Weber Blue agave.
