Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin

Bombay Sapphire · Laverstoke Mill Distillery

94 proofNASHampshire, England
Bombay Sapphire's vapor-infusion method produces a gin that's lighter and more aromatic than many London Drys, letting its ten botanicals speak individually rather than blurring together. At 47% ABV, it carries enough weight for cocktails while remaining supremely sippable over ice. A benchmark for a reason.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Juniper is present but measured, sharing space with coriander seed and lemon peel. An undercurrent of angelica root gives it a dry, almost earthy anchor, while cassia bark adds gentle warmth.

Palate

Clean and balanced. The juniper arrives in its herbaceous, waxy form rather than piney, allowing citrus and floral notes to develop alongside. A peppery mid-palate spice from cubeb and grains of paradise adds complexity without disrupting the harmony.

Finish

Medium-dry, with lingering lemon zest, juniper, and a whisper of liquorice.

The Story

Distilled at the sustainably restored Laverstoke Mill in Hampshire, Bombay Sapphire uses a Carterhead still that passes spirit vapor through a perforated copper basket of ten botanicals, extracting flavor through gentle infusion rather than direct boiling.
