Beara Ocean Gin
Beara · Beara Distillery
Beara Ocean Gin tastes like its address. The Beara Peninsula is one of Ireland's most dramatic coastal landscapes, and this gin carries that windswept, salt-air character without resorting to gimmick. It's a classically structured gin with a genuine sense of place — outstanding in a G&T with a quality tonic and a sprig of rosemary.
Nose
Juniper leads clearly but quickly yields to a bracing coastal salinity, as if the Atlantic itself found its way into the still. Lemon peel and coriander seed follow, alongside a gentle floral lift reminiscent of wildflowers on a sea cliff.
Palate
Crisp and medium-bodied, with piney juniper and a distinctive mineral quality from the local water source. Angelica root provides an earthy anchor, while grapefruit pith and a whisper of peppery spice add complexity.
Finish
Clean and refreshing, with juniper pine and a saline, almost oyster-shell mineral character that lingers.

Food Pairing
The gin's maritime salinity and juniper pine match the oily richness and smoke of the mackerel, while the soda bread provides a neutral, wheaty base.
Husband-and-wife team Mike and Áine Murphy founded Beara Distillery on Ireland's wild southwestern peninsula, using water drawn from the Caha Mountains and foraged coastal botanicals to create a gin shaped by the Atlantic.

Wilderness Trail Single Barrel Bottled in Bond Rye Whiskey
Wilderness Trail
Wilderness Trail's scientific approach to fermentation pays dividends here. This is a rye-heavy bourbon alternative that punches well above its age statement, delivering complexity that many older bottles envy. The bottled-in-bond designation isn't just a label—it's a promise delivered.

Waterford Ballymorgan Edition 3.1 Single Malt Irish Whiskey
Waterford
Waterford's single-farm philosophy reaches its clearest expression in the Ballymorgan series. This third edition shows increased confidence and complexity, proving that Irish terroir is not a marketing concept but a sensory reality. The combination of scientific precision and farming heritage makes this one of the most intellectually satisfying Irish whiskeys available.

Boatyard Double Gin
Boatyard Distillery
A gin shaped by the freshwater currents of Lough Erne and the wetlands surrounding it — Boatyard makes an uncompromising case for terroir-driven London Dry. Its double juniper charge and locally foraged sweet gale give it a spine and identity that most gins twice its price can't match.

Wolfburn Northland Gin
Wolfburn
Wolfburn's gin showcases their whisky-making precision applied to botanicals. Distilled in small copper pot stills at Scotland's most northerly mainland distillery, it delivers a juniper-forward profile with enough botanical depth to hold interest neat or in a gin and tonic. No unnecessary flourishes — just clean, confident distillation.

Tanqueray No. Ten Tiny Ten Gin
Tanqueray
Tanqueray's Tiny Ten format delivers the same fresh-citrus-forward profile that made No. Ten a modern classic. The grapefruit-juniper interplay is effortlessly balanced, and the chamomile adds a dimension that keeps this from being just another citrus gin. Versatile in cocktails, excellent with a quality tonic.
